I have always been “into” my hair. From the days of grandma rinsing my hair with vinegar & putting me in those godawful pink sponge rollers, a certain respect and pride for all things hair related was instilled within my psyche.
I actually used to “do” hair. And by do I mean, went to beauty school AFTER graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Lit. What can I say, I was a little lost. I did hair for about 5 years and decided that industry involved working much harder than I’d like. I keep my license current for the wholesale prices on high end beauty products.
My hair has had many incarnations over the years.
The Drew Barrymore in E. T. look
There was the Jan Brady phase.
and the Cindy Brady phase
1991 – The Rocker Chick/Jersey Shore phase (this was not just for the picture, this was an every day look for me)
and the relatively normal look that I have since worn a version of for about 10 years now.
and yes, this was about 11 years and 60 lbs. ago.
For those curious, this was most of my wedding party & the ex-best friend who was the impetus for my moving my blog is in this photo. I’ll let you guys guess which one she is. *insert evil laugh*
